Heck I am sick of that also, sick of the Monday Morning QB critique! Unless it helps make a better engagement or campaign the next time around. All for public learning, but just ripping on something that is easy Brogan did this about the Caribou Coffee wraps that had little sayings on it.....

That is why I am going to test out my theories on where I live....Watertown, MN. I am going to see what I can apply to this town to make all the businesses, civic, non-profit, and education successful with adding in social to what they are already doing and see what is the right mix for each entity. Wanna help? It is based on my blog post for @colleenmick

Keith,
I think what it boils down to is the fact that we've been "talking" for long enough. Let's start "walking". Let's show the mainstream that SM has real use. I want concrete examples. I want direct case studies. I don't want "thought leaders" continuing to talk about something they aren't doing.

Most importantly, I want educated reporting on true benefits of social. I don't want the articles like what Vanity Fair produced. I don't want "Top Players in SM" crap. Who cares that @aplusk has 1 million followers. Focus on the value he's bringing by the livestreaming. He's giving access to things that we didn't have access to before, yet it's the tabloid stories that people are interested in, instead of the barriers he's breaking down.

I'm glad you're along for the ride, friend.

Love it! You are so right. Blending is my path. All things working together. Social Media is not the silver bullet, but it is an engagement level we have never seen before. We have to give it to the people using and creating all these crazy tools. Now we have to start creating fun full circle initiatives off+online radio+tv+print+digital billboards+social sites=bringing brands and people together to create economic value for everyone. Tara Hunt @missrogue is really onto something with her Mind the Gap thought leadership. Ensuring balance between all entities is the key to future stability.

Way to have the courage to post! I know the internal struggles one can go through when you want to publicly disagree or make a counterpoint! Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it!
